A variety of software packages, lectures, and creating visual images are used for instruction. The focus of instruction is on vector drawing, photo manipulation, web design, and advanced page design with criticism, presentation, analysis of projects and portfolio development. Prerequisite

Project Synopsis

What is the challenge or opportunity you are trying to address within your organization?

Iconic Candy is re-launching the beloved Crème Savers brand and seeks to create modern, compelling media assets that resonate with today’s consumers while preserving the nostalgic essence of the original product. The project will focus on reinventing past Crème Savers commercials and marketing materials by utilizing modern technology and 21st-century creative techniques. Students are tasked with designing media assets that effectively target a contemporary audience using digital platforms, social media, and immersive content creation tools such as video editing software and augmented reality.


What are some of the activities or action items you think will need to be taken to achieve your desired results?

  • Research the history and past marketing campaigns of Crème Savers.
  • Analyze current market trends, including consumer preferences in the candy industry.
  • Develop a marketing strategy that integrates modern digital tools and media channels.
  • Create concept designs for modernized media assets, including commercials, social media content, and digital advertisements.
  • Implement digital tools (e.g., video editing software, social media platforms, augmented reality) to produce and execute the re-imagined media assets.
