True Religion Brand Jeans (TRBJ) is looking to refresh and update training material for their Retail Store employees. TRBJ currently has 49 Retail Stores throughout the US, Canada and UK employing approximately 350 store employees. The corporate operations team is looking to develop a strategy to implement a new training program for the store employees that will influence a young workforce while yielding positive results in driving engagement, comprehension & development and retention.

What is the challenge or opportunity you are trying to address within your organization?

Implement effective training tools/program for our Retail Store employees that yield results in driving engagement, comprehension & development; while reducing employment turn-over.

What are some of the activities or action items you think will need to be taken to achieve your desired results?

  • Understanding of the difference between audio and visual communication for development and training
  • Understanding the current climate of the Retail Industry
  • Survey on how people (current workforce) comprehend information to impact positive results
  • Understand how today's young workforce reacts to training and development and determining some of the best in-class tools from Instructor-led training, eLearning, Simulation employee training, Hands-on training, Mentoring, Group discussion and activities. and/or Role-playing.
  • Understanding the importance of diversity and inclusiveness to better assess employee base.

What would make this project a success for your organization? What measurable results are you looking to accomplish?

Success could be measured in 2-tiers:

  1. Development & implementations of tools/programs
  2. Positive results in:

-employee-to-employee & employee-to-customer engagement

-comprehension & development of policies and procedures to reduce customer service issues, loss prevention, safety claims and employee turn-over

-comprehension & development of policies and procedures to improve customer experience, drive positive results in Store KPIs (Sales, Conversion, ADS, UPT & Email Acquisition)  and retention
